The Business Development Executive (ICT Business Development Manager) is responsible for driving revenue growth and market expansion for Traction Fintech Pty Ltd’s regulatory reporting technology and services by identifying, developing and converting new client opportunities.The role combines solution selling and IT commercial strategy, working closely with internal product, onboarding, and reporting delivery teams to translate complex client requirements (e.g., reporting regime obligations, transaction lifecycle data, platform integrations) into scalable commercial proposals and long-term client relationships.Key Duties and Responsibilities1) Market Development &amp; Lead Generation<ul><li>Identify and qualify new business opportunities for TRAction’s services, including outsourced trade/transaction reporting, exception management, data transformation and submission services.&nbsp;</li><li>Develop targeted outreach strategies across key segments (e.g., brokers, investment managers, banks, energy market participants and other reporting entities).&nbsp;</li><li>Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective clients through research, referrals, industry networks and structured prospecting.&nbsp;</li></ul>2) Solution Selling<ul><li>Consult with prospective clients to diagnose IT and regulatory reporting pain points, current processes and data flows, and propose tailored TRAction solutions.&nbsp;</li><li>Prepare and deliver client presentations demonstrating service value (e.g., automated trade extraction, data enrichment/validation workflows, onboarding support with TR/ARM delegates).&nbsp;</li><li>Position TRAction’s offerings against competitors by articulating differentiators (data transfer capability, integration flexibility, reporting regime expertise).&nbsp;</li></ul>3) Client Engagement &amp; Relationship Management<ul><li>Build trusted commercial relationships with decision makers including COO/CRO, Heads of Operations, Compliance, Risk and Technology.&nbsp;</li><li>Provide high-touch account ownership during negotiation, contracting and onboarding phases to ensure seamless commercial handover to delivery teams.&nbsp;</li><li>Maintain engagement with strategic accounts to identify expansion opportunities (additional asset classes, jurisdictions, platforms and reporting obligations).&nbsp;</li></ul>4) Proposals, Pricing &amp; Tender Responses<ul><li>Lead the preparation of sales proposals, statements of work and pricing models aligned to client volumes, complexity and delivery scope.&nbsp;</li><li>Coordinate input from technical teams for integration scope, data mapping, implementation timelines and ongoing service commitments.&nbsp;</li><li>Respond to RFPs/tenders, ensuring commercial terms appropriately reflect service delivery requirements and regulatory SLA expectations.&nbsp;</li></ul>5) Go-to-Market Strategy &amp; Growth Initiatives<ul><li>Contribute to TRAction’s commercial strategy including market entry planning, service packaging, product positioning and partnership development.&nbsp;</li><li>Monitor and analyse market conditions, regulatory change impacts, and competitor offerings to adjust sales strategy and value proposition.&nbsp;</li><li>Recommend opportunities to extend TRAction’s integration ecosystem (platforms, data feeds, counterparties) based on market demand.&nbsp;</li></ul>6) Stakeholder Collaboration<ul><li>Partner with Product, Onboarding, Client Services, and Reporting Operations to ensure proposed solutions are implementable, scalable and aligned to current platform capabilities.&nbsp;</li><li>Translate client requirements into structured internal briefs covering business objectives, data sources, workflows and acceptance criteria.&nbsp;</li><li>Provide commercial feedback to improve service design and client experience based on voice-of-customer insights.&nbsp;</li></ul>Key Deliverables / Performance Metrics<ul><li>New logo acquisition and revenue targets (monthly/quarterly)&nbsp;</li><li>Pipeline value, conversion rate and sales cycle velocity&nbsp;</li><li>Proposal and tender win-rate&nbsp;</li><li>Growth in key strategic markets / segments&nbsp;</li><li>Expansion revenue from existing accounts (up-sell/cross-sell)&nbsp;</li><li>Quality of handover outcomes (onboarding success metrics)&nbsp;</li></ul>Required Skills and Experience<ul><li>Demonstrated experience in business development / solution sales within ICT services (SaaS, data services, fintech or regtech preferred).&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to understand and communicate complex ICT workflows including data extraction, transformation, integration and production service models.&nbsp;</li><li>Experience scoping solution requirements with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.&nbsp;</li><li>Understanding of transaction reporting and/or regulatory compliance workflows (e.g., delegated reporting models and reporting data lifecycles).&nbsp;</li></ul>Core Competencies<ul><li>Strong consultative selling capability and relationship management&nbsp;</li><li>Negotiation and stakeholder influence&nbsp;</li><li>Commercial proposal writing and presentation&nbsp;</li><li>Strategic planning and market analysis&nbsp;</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication</li></ul>
